DUTCH NIGHTCLUBS WON’T OPEN AGAIN UNTIL NOVEMBER

Nightclubs in the Netherlands have closed after a spike in COVID cases in the country, with a 500% increase in infections since they reopened in June, and the Verknipt festival resulted in 1,000 new cases of COVID.

The Dutch government announced that nightclubs will be closed until October 31st. Cafes and restaurants will continue to operate with curfew restrictions. The nightclubs are expected to be among the last places to reopen since October 31st is the earliest time clubbers can expect to return.

Meantime, nightlife has reopened in the UK with vaccine confirmation or negative tests required to enter clubs. Other countries have continued their efforts to open, including nightclubs in the United States.
